The Serras is a 5-star hotel located in Barcelona’s Gothic Quarter in a building that housed Picasso’s first studio in 1846. Maybe that’s why in this hotel we find many works of art. Obviously not the ones of the genius.
Today it houses the Michelin-starred Chef Marc Gascón’s Casual Restaurant.
The renovation, carried out by the interior designer Eva Martínez, is cosmopolitan and also Mediterranean.
Steel, wood and tiles connect us with the industrial past of Barcelona.
Martínez Otero made the furniture and the woodwork in rusticated finishes and metal sheet. The furniture of the rooms and suites, was made in wood and upholstery in a sober tones.
The complex technical development of the furniture that incorporates the television, whose lid opens to let the television comes out when it is acctioned, was done by our value engineering team in collaboration with a team of German engineers.
