This fleshy plant that grows in areas of salt water and which is being used more and more as a dressing in haute cuisine gives its name to the Honucai Hotel Restaurant.
Located on the seafront, in the coastal town of Colònia de Sant Jordi, the Salicornia restaurant offers excellent Mallorcan proposals in a contemporary Mediterranean atmosphere. Colònia de Sant Jordi belongs to the municipality of Ses Salinas and is located in the south of the island.
This coastal resort, which was a fishing village, is well known for its salt pans, famous since the Bronze Age.
Its idyllic location, combined with a Mediterranean decoration in fresh, light and marine tones, makes the restaurant an intimate and cosy space, in which to enjoy an excellent traditional Mediterranean cuisine updated, with the highest attention to detail and service.
The interior of Salicornia is decorated with a chic beach style in turquoise and white tones. The comfortable rattan chairs are covered with “llengües” fabrics that have been dyed using the Shibori technique, while coral and crystal lamps hang from the ceiling.
