Hotel Barcelona 1882
Green construction

Located very close to the Basilica of the Sagrada Familia in Barcelona, this new 182-room hotel is the first in Spain to obtain LEED® Gold certification, the leading accreditation for sustainable construction granted to buildings with the least impact possible in the environment and its inhabitants.

GCA Architects made the design and development of the rooms and corridors, and Lázaro Rosa Violán Studio gave shape to the interior design of the common areas.

From Martínez Otero Contract we have collaborated closely in this project through a meticulous process of manufacturing, execution and installation of the interiors.

The magnificent views of the city with a unique perspective of the Sagrada Familia in the background and the saltwater pool are the main attractions of the “El Cel” solarium.

With a diverse range of furniture and through sensory design, we pass on a unique experience in every piece we produced and fitted out: an endless shelving system, aquamarine folding deckchairs, bespoke umbrellas and hundreds of pots with succulent plants, among others.
